Equipped tents

De Oorsprong has 2 different types of furnished tents.

A proper camping tent, but already set up and furnished for you. Our four De Waard family tents are situated on the campsite next to the farm, each with its own spot on the grass. They are classic Dutch De Waard tents: sturdy, spacious and with that familiar camping atmosphere where you spend more time outdoors than indoors.

Inside, there are three separate sleeping cabins with a total of four beds, each with duvets and pillows. This means everyone has their own place to sleep. Ideal for a family with two children, for two couples on holiday together, or for grandparents travelling with their grandchildren.

In the awning, you’ll find a kitchen unit with a fridge, an electric hob, a Senseo coffee machine, a kettle and crockery. So you can make a cup of coffee straight away, have breakfast or cook an evening meal. The dining table, which is lit, seats four. Just the right size for a game of cards when it’s raining outside.

Under the awning there’s a lounge set for four. Here, you can wake up peacefully in the morning with a cup of coffee, and in the evening you can kick back and relax once the day is over. Electricity and Wi-Fi are available as standard.

The four tents (Sternduin, Dune, Kobbeduin and Willemsduin) have the same layout and are positioned side by side on the pitch. The campsite facilities You share the following facilities with the other campers: free hot showers, toilets, a laundry room, a communal campsite kitchen and a playground with a trampoline for the children.

Our six ‘Duintentjes’ are the simplest way to go camping on Schiermonnikoog: a cosy tent with two made-up beds and your own spot on the site. You don’t have to lug anything around and can get started straight away. Ideal for couples, for a weekend away with a friend, or for anyone who wants to spend some time alone on the island without the hassle of pitching their own tent.

Inside the tent there are two fixed beds with duvets and pillows. There’s a small lamp and a power socket, so you can charge your phone. Outside there are two lounge chairs with a small table, just right for a book and a cup of coffee in the morning sun, or a glass of wine as the sun goes down.

Cooking is done in the communal campsite kitchen. It is equipped with a hob, fridge, kettle, coffee maker and all the pans and crockery you need to prepare a simple meal. The toilet block, with free hot showers and clean toilets, is 75 metres from your tent. Wi-Fi is available throughout the site.

Each ‘Duintentje’ is named after a plant that can be found in the dunes and salt marshes around the campsite: Helmet grass, Sea buckthorn, Sea milk thistle, Glasswort, Sea Balm and Lamb's ear. Six tents, each in its own spot on the site.

Pets are not permitted in our tents. The Duintentjes are only available to guests aged 25 and over.
