About us
Freerk Visser is the farmer on this farm.
Besides our Group accommodation, Freerk also has a dairy farm with 90 cows. And 40 young stock. He took over this farm from his father Jackel on 28 October 2011.
Jackel and Freerk were in a partnership with each other from 1992. Freerk's father died exactly 14 days after taking over the business. A tough and difficult time for us to run the farm and receive guests. But now after all these years, Freerk is happily and fully farming again.
He is happy to tell you something about our livestock and the history of this farm.
We refurbish the accommodation in winter, it requires a lot of maintenance but that is a welcome challenge for Freerk in the quiet winters....

Marieke is the hostess, she welcomes guests.
Takes care of the accounting and further operations of the Group accommodation, campsite and holiday homes.
Marieke moved to Schiermonnikoog in 1998 to work as a florist. After a few years, she met Freerk in, how could it be otherwise, the Tox bar.
Now we have three children Koen, Simon and Annelie. All three always happy when there are children staying at the farm. Where they can play with and also Koen likes to talk about the dairy farm and talk you all the way through.
Meanwhile in August 2018, Freerk and Marieke parted ways as friends.
Marieke lives in the village and Freerk on the farm. They still share the passion of the farm together. Freerk and Marieke work full-time together on the farm. In August, they signed a partnership contract together for the Recreation Farm.
Freerk and Marieke want all guests to return home with a super memory of their holiday on Schiermonnikoog. And, of course, that you come back again!
